PRAISE REPORT – December 14, 2019
This day was a day of Giving, a day of Thanksgiving and a day of Christian fellowship. One day each quarter, our Sectional Community, SET THE CAPTIVES FREE; with men from the ACTC Halfway House, our Community Center for Homeless Youth, and some Christian women who prepared the taco meat, helped feed the homeless in Denver.
It all starts in the kitchen and Dining Room of our Community Center, where the tacos are prepared, the bags are filled with a taco, chips, and a cookie. The bags are then placed in a large cooler, with drinks and ice in another cooler. Using four vehicles, we transport the food and volunteers to the inner city of Denver.
Then the ministry really begins. We park in a vacant lot near the residential centers for the homeless, which are in the center of Denver.
While we unload and organize; the line forms, as the word rapidly spreads that there is free food!
In addition to offering a free meal, more importantly we offer prayer, counseling, and discipling for Christ. In two hours, we ministered and fed over 500 people!!!
After the ministry was complete, we celebrated by spending the afternoon at TOP GOLF! It is a three level driving range, where you can play different games, have great food, and most importantly fellowship together. As always, our day ended with a group prayer to GOD!
GOD Bless and thank you for your prayers and support
